What is glass cullet?

Glass cullet is recycled glass prior to processing. The term ‘cullet’ also refers, to waste glass produced as a result of breakage and rejection on quality control grounds during the manufacturing process.

Glass recycling is the process of turning waste glass into usable products. Depending on the end use, this commonly includes separating it into different colours because glass colours are achieved through the addition of different ions to the glass mixture. The major types of glass cullet are:

Green	Green glass
Brown	Brown/Amber glass
